Thucydides and Modern-Day International Relations
Why do nations go to war? Or cooperate to avoid it? How can the Greek historian Thucydides inform our current thinking on international politics?
Join us on Friday, April 1 from 12:15 pm to 1:30 pm to explore the enduring strength of Thucydides' perceptive understanding of unchanging human nature—especially of those exercising great political or military power.
First Friday lectures are presented by Basic Program instructors, open to all, and include a Q&A session.
